Tourism in the Alentejo on a roadshow through Brazil
We flew to Brazil to promote the tourist offer of Alentejo on a roadshow that will pass through the cities of São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, between November 21 and 25, a mission with the presence of representatives of the sector, 14 companies and 7 institutional elements.
This is another project of the Invest in Alentejo initiative, promoted by ADRAL – Agência de Desenvolvimento Regional do Alentejo , which, in partnership with the ARPTA – Agência Regional de Promoção Turística do Alentejo – Turismo do Alentejo and Turismo do Porto e Norte de Portugal, promotes the Alentejo Territory to capture tourism and investment, in a Strategic market for the region.
The roadshow through Brazil begins today with a welcome lunch, on a first day that will be marked by the holding of a large promotional event for the tourist offer of Alentejo, together with players from the sector, at 6 p.m. (local time), in São Paulo.
This mission has the goal to recover the positioning of the Alentejo region in the Brazilian market, through the presentation of the renewed tourist offer of Alentejo, cemented in exclusivity and sustainability, for new travel agents and operators. In 2019, Brazil was the second-most relevant foreign market in terms of investment, but it has lost that strength due to the pandemic and economic crisis that have shaken Brazil.
