Summary of the last day of Invest in Alentejo’s mission in São Paulo, Brazil
Today, at Câmara Portuguesa de Comércio de São Paulo, took place the second of two sessions planned by Invest in Alentejo on its mission to Brazil. Led by José Luís Cacho, President of APS – Administration of the Ports of Sines and Algarve S.A, and Miguel Gama, Executive Manager of aicep Global Parques, the sessions aimed at showcasing the opportunities that the Port, Logistics and Industrial Complex of Sines can represent to the Brazilian market, as a strategic gateway to Europe and its consuming market.
Similar to yesterday, the mission aimed at presenting the enormous potential of the Port, Logistics and Industrial Complex of Sines to serve as a gateway for the entrance of Brazilian products and raw materials that, with the industries and logistics available in the complex, could increase its value and be thereon exported to other points in Europe and the world.
This session was attended by the President of Câmara Portuguesa de Comércio de São Paulo, Dr. Nuno Rebelo de Sousa.
About this mission, João Grilo, President of ADRAL – Alentejo Regional Development Agency, highlights that Invest in Alentejo aims at capturing investment “in the area of logistics of Brazilian’s agribusiness industry, which complements the visit of Brazil’s Minister of Agriculture, Tereza Cristina, to the Port of Sines, in October 2020, where there was a discussion about a project that aimed at implanting a terminal for the exportation of Brazilian fruits and meats to other European countries, Northern Africa and Middle East”.
