Invest in Alentejo at Japan Energy Summit 2022
The CEO of aicep Global Parques, Filipe Costa, presented yesterday Sines Hydrogen Valley at “The European Model: Hydrogen Front and Centre for Energy Transition” panel, on Japan Energy Summit 2022, taking place in Tokyo until August 4.
Sines brings together the ideal conditions for an “EU Hydrogen Valley”, combining a transoceanic energy port with a refining and petrochemical tradition, good seawater capture and rejection infrastructure, electricity interconnections in AT and MAT, with strong supply of renewable source electricity and fresh water. It is the ideal destination to invest in the European green hydrogen-based energy transition.
This Invest in Alentejo mission to Tokyo, co-organized between ADRAL – Agência de Desenvolvimento Regional do Alentejo and APS – Administração dos Portos de Sines e do Algarve, allowed an agenda of meetings with companies, such as Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd., responsible for the Liquefied Hydrogen Terminal at the Port of Kobe, Japan and Tokyo Gas Asia Pte. Ltd., the world’s largest company in Natural Gas and Liquefied Natural Gas infrastructure.
