Invest in Alentejo goes to Berlin to showcase Sines’ advantages at Fruit Logistica 2023
Invest in Alentejo is, since the 8th of February, in Berlin, at the FRUIT LOGISTICA Fair, with Sines’ Port. This participation has proven to be very successful and all the feedback so far demonstrates that this mission has been very fruitful for all stakeholders.
It was an excellent opportunity to deepen knowledge about refrigerated cargo, and receive contributions to improve the port’s performance in handling this type of cargo, through contacts with freight forwarders and logistics operators, as well as with importers and exporters. On the other hand, it also made it possible to perceive the position of the ports of Spain and others in attracting this segment. The importance of handling refrigerated cargo was evident, both in import and export, to respond to the needs of the Iberian and European market. This segment represents an opportunity for Alentejo and, particularly, for the Port of Sines, in order to be able to increase the volumes transacted and, consequently, attract investment and develop a set of complementary services that can respond to the needs of all customers and users of the infrastructure.
Today is the last day of the participation of the Invest in Alentejo initiative, in partnership with APS – Administration of the Ports of Sines and the Algarve and CPLS – Community Port and Logistics of Sines, at FRUIT LOGISTICA, the reference event in the products segment perishables, which brings together the main international players in the sector
