aicep Global Parques promotes Sines Tech – Innovation & Data Center Hub at the Submarine Networks EMEA 2022

Isabel Caldeira Cardoso, Vice President of aicep Global Parques , and Miguel Borralho, Director of ZILS Global Parques – Industrial and Logistics Zone of Sines, participated in the EMEA Submarine Networks, on May 17 and 18  in London, which brought together major organizations and experts linked to the global submarine infrastructure market.

“The Submarine Networks EMEA brings together key players in the submarine cabling industry, launching the debate on the growing need for intercontinental connectivity, considering the development of regional Data Centers in response to a growing digital usage, in a pandemic and post pandemic context. Issues regarding green initiatives and the increasing use of renewable energies were also addressed and on the conference’s agenda. In short, the event represented an excellent opportunity to showcase the competitive advantages of Sines Tech – Innovation and Data Centre Hub, located at ZILS- Sines Industrial and Logistics Zone, and develop synergies with the diverse players. This way, we want to continue to proactively promote this strategic national asset for the growth of the Portuguese economy, in an innovative and sustainable sector,” emphasizes Isabel Cardoso, Vice President of aicep Global Parques, in the summary of this mission.

This participation integrates the “Invest in Alentejo” initiative, led by ADRAL – Regional Development Agency of Alentejo and funded by the Alentejo Program 2020, it has the mission to strengthen the internationalization of goods and service those from the Alentejo region, sitting in the main domains of the regional intelligent specialization strategy (EREI).
